Cub Scouts
The Cubs are from the ages 8 – 10½. There are at the moment two cub packs, Walrus and Dolphin. Walrus meet on a Monday evening and Dolphin meet on a Thursday evening. Both packs have tremendous fun when they meet and they both do a range of activities, including camping, swimming and playing in the park.
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities. A Cub Scout Pack has both boys and girls who are aged between 8-10½ years old.
Cub Scouting is about:
- having fun
- making friends
- enjoying lots of activities
- keeping the Promise
- trying new things
Through the many different activities, Cub Scouts will:
- learn about themselves
- get to know people and learn to work together
- explore their community
- personal development
