We are the 1st Surbiton (Sealion) Sea Scout Group.

We are a Royal Navy Recognised Sea Scout Group and the largest Scout Group in Royal Kingston District.

We have three sections: Beavers (2 Colonies), Cubs (2 Packs) and an enormous Sea Scout Troop.

We are also lucky enough to be partnered with an Explorer Sea Scout Unit.

These sections are for different age groups that are designed to give maximum enjoyment – Beavers for 6-8 year olds, Cubs for 8-10, Scouts for 10-14 and Explorers up to 18 years.

Have a look around the site to find out about us and what we do. If you would like more information or want to join, you can find the form on the bar at the top. This site is expanding all the time – new articles and pictures on the Beavers, Cubs, Sea Scouts and Explorers. We also have pages on Camps and Activities. Check out the Calendar to see what is coming up in the next few weeks.

Absolutely fantastic couple of days at the National Sea Scout Regatta. The whole team sculled, pulled and kayaked exceptionally well and we couldn't be more proud.
We had lots of success and some winners!
U14 Sculling over the Stern - Milly Burrows (retained for 2nd year)
U16 Sculling over the Stern - Josh Taylor
U16 Kayak - Luca Zaninni (Not won by Sealion since 1994)
U16 Gig - Tori Nevins, Olivia Graham, Mauro Miller, Ed Whitehouse, James Storr. (Sealion have held this for the past 4 years!)
U16 Overall Age Group Winners.

Really great to have the support of so many parents and Sealion Leaders past and present. Thanks to our County Commissioner Neil Findlay who came down to support the Regatta.

Special thanks goes to the leaders of Leander, Ajax and Warspite who work so hard to make the event such a success
